41st annual Swiss Wine Festival
Aug. 23-26, 2012

The festival, held at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay, IN, is a four-day celebration commemorating Switzerland County’s wine-making roots and bragging rights as the “Birthplace of the First Successful Commercial Winery in the United States.”

Upholding the Swiss Wine Festival tradition, gates open Thurs., Aug. 23 at 6 pm with the Little Swiss Polka and Edelweiss Dancers. Festivities on Saturday morning begins at 10 am with the Grand Festival Parade in downtown Vevay.

Monument Circle Oktoberfest 2011 Schedule

Announcing the Monument Circle Oktoberfest

When: Friday, September 23

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 

Where: north half of Monument Circle.

Cost: NO ADMISSION CHARGE

Who: This event is open to the public

The festival features German specialties and American fare. Two Biergartens featuring local, domestic and imported beers will be available for your enjoyment. Then we will be oompah-pahing to the sounds of Indy's beloved Polkaboy - LIVE from Monument Circle as they perform some of "zee moast beeyutteefool meeyuzick enn za verlld!"

So come one, come all - bring ze Fraulein along - drag them if you have to, dust off those dancing shoes and enjoy a night of Beer & Brats on Indianapolis's famed Monument Circle. What better way to usher in the fall season?
Fake German accents and Lederhosen optional (but highly suggested)
